Thanks for visiting!

Tim plays baseball and Whitney follows him around. This page was created so that our friends and family can have a glimpse into our daily lives while we're on the road. Love and miss you all!

Oops, I'm Back

In my last post, I forgot to tell you the coolest thing about our week! We got to go to the Graham Colton Band, Stephen Kellogg and the Sixers, and NEEDTOBREATH concert! AND, we got to go backstage and meet Needtobreathe! They were some of the most hospitable people we've ever met and we TRULY are grateful to them for having us. It was interesting seeing how the band was so interested in what the players do, and on the flip side, seeing the baseball players so enamoured by how talented the band was. Interesting dynamic! If you've never heard Needtobreathe, I highly suggest you check them out. A couple of my faves are "Stones Under Rushing Water", "Lay 'Em Down", and "Washed by the Water". GO. NOW. Check them out! Here's a couple of pics...

Also, Tim got his wedding band and here's what it looks like...\

On another note, we woke up this morning to our trash, that we had set out for the garbage men, spread all over the yard. I finally caught the culprits...BIRDS!

One Week In...

So we've been here a week and things are going great so far. We had 2 rainy days, but other than that, the weather has been AMAZING.

Tim starts games on Wednesday so keep him in your prayers! It's actually working out a lot better than we'd originally thought, living with other people. One of the players' wife is here with their 13 month old son and he is freaking CUTE. I love having a little kid around the house. Makes me feel more at home. Speaking of...

I'm sad that my dad and sisters got to see my brother's first track meet of the year and I didn't :( I miss Caleb. I miss my family something fierce too! I got to Skype with my mom and Cooper the other day and all I wanted to do was reach through the computer and grab Coop's cheeks! Soon enough though, I'll get to see them again.

THANK YOU EVERYONE who has Tim and me in your prayers. Tim's arm feels GREAT which is a huge answer to prayer and he's getting AMAZING feedback from coaches on his performance in Mexico. That alone makes those miserable 8 weeks worth it for me. I love watching my husband succeed and use his talents to glorify our Jesus.

Anyways, I'll keep you all updates over the coming weeks on games and such.

LOVE AND MISS YOU ALL!

HELLO ORLANDO!!!!!!!!!!

Well, we're here!

After taking a pit-stop in Valdosta to pick out and order our wedding bands, we arrived in Orlando, FL around 3pm yesterday. However, no enjoying the sights for me, we headed straight to the field so Tim could throw a bullpen with some of his other teammates. Aaaannd, it's begun...

I honestly didn't mind the bullpen because I met a new "friend" there! She's dating one of the other players and really seems to have a heart for Christ so thank JESUS for that answered prayer! It's hard making friends when we're on the road so much so I've been praying that God would place someone that I could go to church with and some games with and He did! I think Tim and I may visit her church Wednesday night...

If you don't already know this about me, I'll admit something to you... I like football (and even basketball) more than I do baseball. HOWEVER, I loooove baseball season because my husband is like a little kid in a candy shop! To watch the passion light up his face and the determination take over is like watching a transformation to me and I can't get enough of it. He's in robot mode at this point, doing everything he can to keep his body healthy for the season and pushing himself daily to be a better ball player. It's absolutely adorable (don't tell him that's the word I used...).

It's going to be hard at times because I desperately miss my family and friends but I have my amazing husband that God has blessed me with and we know everything's going to be alright. Mine and Tim's prayer for this season is that he does what he needs to do to get better, plays the best he knows how, that we reek of JESUS, and that NO MATTER WHAT HAPPENS, we trust that God's plan is so much better than ours.

I'm now going to attempt to hook up our web cam so I can Skype with the fam and JENNA!

And today's the day...

Woot woot!!! We leave for Orlando today! I'm ready for sunny weather and laying out. God only knows how badly I need a tan. Here's a list of things I love about Orlando and what I'm looking forward to:

1. SUNSHINE
2. Pool
3. OUTLETS!!!!!
4. Benihanas sushi!
5. Downtown Disney
6. Wolfgang Puck PIZZA. Yummm...
7. Bahama Breeze
7. Old Towne!!!!
8. Watching my hubby play baseball!
9. Warm breeze at night
10. Downtown Orlando
11. CELEBRATION!!!!!!!!

That's only a few. I really do love Orlando and this year, I get to be there the WHOLE time with the boy! I'll miss my family like crazy but shhhh, I'm still trying to trick them into coming and seeing me!

It's a little nerve-racking, this whole baseball thing. Not really baseball, just the fact that I'll be traveling with him this year. If you've ever met my husband during the off-season, that's not my husband during the season. I have never met someone so focused and "in the zone" as this boy. It's one reason I fell in love with him but sometimes I wonder if I'll be able to lend the support he needs. Let's hope so!

As we start out this journey, please keep us in your prayers. We know God has plans and He knows what will happen, just pray that our discernment is in line with God's will. We love you all and soon, we'll be posting pics of all the fun we're having during baseball season!
